But like the saying goes: Schreckstoff happens. When I was a kid I used to
angle for creek chubs in a clear pool below a culvert. The first 3 or 4
would hit the bait, then I couldn't get a strike no matter what bait I
used. I figured they had wised up to me, but now I think it was probably
more chemical than visual.
