I believe that the green sunfish in question is in fact a green sunfish. It
has the marking in the dorsal fin and the basic green sunfish body pattern,
though very washed out. It doesn't have the profile of a crappie. I am not
certain what the minnow is, but I am fairly certain that it is not a
pugnose. The pugnose has the clear window in the dorsal which this fish is
lacking. It also has a terminal "pugged" mouth. It appears that this
fish's mouth is-in-least somewhat underslung. Hopefully someone will be
able to ID the minnow because it has a very interesting coloration.

On the gar, the whole snout actually is in the photo. After your
comment, I did an image search in google and found a picture of a
longnose gar that looks almost identical to mine. I've never found a
longnose before, so that would be a good find for me. The fish is about
4" long. What about the pattern, makes it a longnose?

I have 4 white crappie that are not much larger that
"green_sunfish1.jpg." I can't see the similarity.

Thanks for the comments on the minnows. Maybe I should grow them up
quickly and see what they turn into.

I concur with Peter on the redear and the longear. however, I also
think the following are more reasonable than the ids you posted:

first green sunfish may possibly be a juvenile white crappie. If a
gsf it is thin and pale, with the dorsal fin origin far back. the
other green sunfish is correct. minnow 1c (and the other pictures of
it, as posted later) may possibly be a pugnose minnow. Could the
spotted gar be a longnose? Can't really tell how long the snout is
relatively to the rest of the head in the photo (only a part of the
snout shows in the photo), but the pattern is consistent with a
fingerling longnose.
