I've just set up a 29 gallon tank with biowheel plus mechanical filtration
for a few of our native Midwestern species, Current inhabitants include:
Carmine shiner, Common shiner, Longear sunfish, Bluegill, Orangespotted
sunfish, Orangethroat darter, and Slender madtom.

I'd like a snail species or 2 to aid in scavenging uneaten food and fish
"food by-products".

I'm not a stickler on "native" snail species and have access to
store-bought mystery, apple, and ramshorn snails.

Are any of these species "plant safe", i.e. obligate detritivores?

Thanks for any help.
