Please pass the word from Frank Pezold:

FOR LOUISIANA HERP FACULTY, HERP POST-DOCS AND HERP GRADUATE
STUDENTS; SAME MAY EXIST FOR ALABAMA AND MISSISSIPPI FOLKS. CHECK YOUR
STATE OFFICES.

EPSCoR Opportunity for Faculty/Post-Docs/Graduate Students Impacted by
Katrina

Researchers at institutions closed by Hurricane Katrina will not able to
access
their laboratories for an indefinite period of time; the EPSCoR Links with
Industry, Research Centers, and National Laboratories (LINK) program may be
of assistance to these individuals.

LINK provides funds to tenured and tenure-track S&E faculty members,
post-doctoral researchers, and graduate students to visit and train at an
industrial facility, research center or national laboratory for a period of
two to twelve weeks. Successful applicants are awarded $500.00 per week for
subsistence (e.g., lodging, meals, etc.) while visiting and training and a
maximum of $1,000 in transportation cost reimbursements, limited to one
round trip. Only expenses that qualify for travel reimbursement under the
current state general travel regulations (Policy and Procedures Memorandum
49) are allowable.

More details on this program are available through the LINK RFP 2005-D,
which can be downloaded from the Board of Regents Sponsored Programs
website
