Probably but a large fish like a sturgeon would have to be feed more food
than he could get in even a big yard pond. Start him out in an aquarium feeding
him a good quality tiny pellet and then when you put him in the pond start
feeding the pellets in one area every day and he should catch on to when and where
dinner is being served.
