An incredible number of things can be "proven" by playing with numbers. I
read something once about the Washington monument that said that dividing the
height by 40 or some other number gives you the distance to the nearest star
in light years. Somehow I don't think that proves aliens helped build the
Washington monument but you would be surprised by the number of people who
would run with things like that.
