My best advise is to secure the free end before you throw the trap end off
the rip rap. One of my younger sons forgot to do this and I lost a trap I
had owned all of 45 minutes. >>

Come on guys we need more good advice. I did NOT think of this. Thanks Bob
you may have saved me a minnow trap. I would certainly want to put this into
any report on minnow traps. we need more fun in life. hehe.

I am reminded that a couple of years ago a near by pond went dry and there
were several minnow traps lying on the bottom of the old pond. unfortunately
the mud was thick and the water came later to fill it back up. Next time
that pond goes dry I am going to go mudding to get those traps.

Lets get some more good emails on minnow traps. I am saving every single one
of them to bring them together.
