Rhonda,

See if KidFish (http://www.kidfish.com/) operates in your area. It's a
great way to introduce kids to fishing and there are always lots of people
around to assist the kids. Here at the Nature Center we have a frequent
visitor who is autistic. He visits with one of his care givers and loves
animals of all kinds. He attended a KidFish event last summer and now
thinks fishing is the best thing in the world. His care giver says that he
has tremendous patience while waiting for his bobber to move and the look on
his face when he catches a little sunfish is the greatest.
