the bigeyes have a pretty purple sheen to them when viewed at the correct
angle. they are delicate in the summer but transportable when its cooler. a
bit on the rare side here... they need good, clear, cool water from what i
can tell. the clear chubb in alabama is similiar. i have never seen a silver
chubb. the bigeyes tend to hang below a riffle in a deep pool. i have seen a
multitude grazing in silty sand along the edge of a run. tough to catch while
snorkling w/ a little net. 2 guys and a siene is the way. they do have a big
eye and are very delicate looking. pretty.
