thats pretty funny :)

the weekend before last i went on a 15 mile canoe trip w/ my son and his
scout troop. caught my first fish on my daughters mr fishy pole. a cute
little 18" walmart plastic toy pole. pulled in a mighty river chubb. dang
near must have been 4 inches. the other scout masters said it was just bait
fish where i proceeded to lecture them on the virtues of a horny headed nest
building river chubb. :)
it was fun iding the stripe shiners and game fish they were pulling in. saw
lots of gar to. the water was clear enough that whenever we went through a
riffle run i saw lots of minners and such.
but they did the real fishing bringing in rock bass, blue gill and some kind
of bass, still cant get them ided. all where drug along the canoe for several
miles of rock dragging water low canoeing. im sure they were beat to death.
but did they taste good... yessirree... iron skillet fried over a hardwood
fire after being dipped in some kind of special secret mix.
i gotta learn how to fish.
